Brief Summary

This role is to promote and run workshops to deliver the Narragunnawali Program to strengthen schools and early learning services engagement with reconciliation in education. * Based in West Perth, Western Australia (WA)   * 3-year maximum term contract Part-time (0.6 FTE) with possible opportunity to extend to fulltime after 6 months
6 months’ probation | Salary $58, 000 - $62,000 plus super pro-rata to 0.6 FTE
Regional travel throughout WA will be required.

 
Job Description

Narragunnawali is a national program developed by Reconciliation Australia that supports schools and early learning services to implement reconciliation initiatives. Reconciliation WA is collaborating with Reconciliation Australia to deliver the program in Western Australia. Narragunnawali (pronounced narra-gunna-wally) is a word from the language of the Ngunnawal people, Traditional Owners of the land on which Reconciliation Australia’s Canberra office is located, meaning alive, wellbeing, coming together and peace.

Selection Criteria:

1. Current WA Drivers Licence

2. Current Working with Children Check

3. National Police Clearance

4. Minimum Highschool Graduation and Cert III in relevant training

5. A sound understanding of the historical and contemporary matters concerning Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people of Western Australia 6. Ability to build and maintain relationships with a range of people

7. Time management and organisational skills

8. Experience developing content for an education setting

9. Excellent written and verbal skills, including ability to deliver workshops

10. Ability to work in a team environment and on your own.
