Job Description

Senior Test Analyst

Our client who is a well known Federal Government Department requires a Senior Test Analyst to join their close knit team for a five month contract.
The commencement date is 27th August 2018 and the contract will finish 21st December 2018 with the possibility of extension.  

Services/work required

  • Write the Project Test Plan(s).
  • Prepare test cases and test data, as required.
  • Execute tests and record results.
  • Raise and monitor defects.
  • Participate in formal review of key project artefacts being delivered in accordance with project methodology.
  • Undertake formal review and/or peer review of own and other testing resources artefacts including test cases.
  • Allocate and monitor of tasks assigned to testing resources.
  • Prepare Test Reports as required.
  • Train, develop or mentor testing resources.
  • Participate in formal review of key project artefacts being delivered in accordance with project methodology.
  • Liaise with business users and coordinate User Acceptance Testing as required.
  • Take lead in managing a range of departmental enterprise testing activities as needed.
  • Contribute to other testing-related activities as required.


Selection criteria

Extensive experience as a Senior Test Analyst working on complex IT applications/systems, including relevant qualifications or equivalent. This includes previous testing experience in Enterprise Applications and knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Demonstrated knowledge and experience of software testing processes, automated test management tools, and managing test scripts, test cases, test plans and test strategy.
  
Strong analytical skills including the ability to analyse and interpret information, prepare written reports, deal with challenges creatively and achieve business focused solutions.
 
Demonstrated organisational skills and experience working in a high volume and demanding professional environment with a capacity to prioritise competing demands and work effectively across a number of IT systems and projects simultaneously.

Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment with a strong customer focus.

Demonstrated experience in providing quality documentation, status reports, and other written communications utilising Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint.
  
Excellent oral and written communication skills with proven engagement, collaboration and negotiation skills and the demonstrated ability to build, maintain and use relationships with customers, vendors and stakeholders.
